About The Rakes

The Rakes are a sixe-piece country cover band from the backroads of Connecticut, bonded over scratched vinyl and blown tube amps. This website is the band's official home on the internet — a single place where fans, venue owners, and event planners can find everything The Rakes are up to. It houses the show calendar with upcoming and past gigs, the General Store for official merchandise, the Vault for photos and videos from the road, a fan alert system that notifies you when the band plays within your radius, and a booking inquiry form for anyone looking to hire the band for a private event, wedding, or bar residency.

The platform is built for country music lovers across Connecticut and the wider Northeast — the regulars who show up to every dive-bar set, the couples who want a live band at their wedding, and the venue owners booking a Saturday night. Fans can create an account, set their zip code and alert radius, and get notified by email or push notification when a show lands nearby. Shoppers can browse and reserve merchandise such as hats, shirts, and hoodies. And anyone can submit a booking inquiry that goes straight to the band's inbox and backstage dashboard.

The Rakes keep this site running themselves — no middlemen, no label, just the band and the fans. Every show, every product, every photo, and every alert gets added straight from their own "Backstage". We play the country canon from Cash to Combs, Haggard to Hardy, with the grit of a Saturday night and the precision of a touring act. No two shows are the same — you pick the wildcard cover, we sweat the strings. That's the deal.
